Armageddon and the second coming
The evangelicals are correct that the Armageddon they have poured their hearts and their money into instigating is bringing about the second coming of Jesus.
What they don’t yet understand is that Jesus has now returned to judge and overthrow them so the world can be saved from their apostasy.
The sword that comes from Jesus’ mouth in the final judgment (Revelation 19:15, 2 Thessalonians 2:8) is prophecy, not the golden calves of war the evangelicals worship.
The bombs whose wars make the billionaires rich belong to the beast whom Jesus slays with the breath of his mouth, which is the truth of his lambs’ testimony no matter what the algorithm does with it.
He is casting the church’s demons into a herd of pigs (Mark 5:13) who are throwing themselves into the lake of fire and making their wickedness obvious so the old stories can be incinerated entirely for the full liberation of the crucified lambs scapegoated by the blasphemous puritanism with which the wealthy have held the church hostage for centuries.
The lamb of God is not one son of man descending from the sky on a lightning bolt but a hidden family of prophets anointed by the voice of the wilderness (Isaiah 40:3), rising up from the ground like mushrooms metabolizing the poison of Christian empire into dreams of the new Jerusalem whose gates are never closed (Revelation 21:25) where all things are held in common (Acts 2:44) and the last are first (Matthew 20:16) and the lambs reign (Revelation 7:17).
The lambs are a multitude too great to be counted (Revelation 7:9) who have been called out of empire to take up their crosses (Luke 9:23) and walk with the crucified — the despised ones (1 Corinthians 1:28) who are punished for the world’s sin (Isaiah 53).
They are the meek who inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5) against all odds through the resistance of millions of ordinary people conscripted into the lamb’s cause of loving their crucified neighbors as the devil’s reign over the church is exposed in the ugliness of his naked fascism.
In the queendom of love that is being established, the wolf will lie down with the lamb (Isaiah 11:6) and the nations will bend their swords into plowshares (Isaiah 2:4). All the ancient prophecies will be fulfilled as the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11) is crushed by the lambs’ dancing and thrown into the lake of fire. When every rigid orthodoxy is dissolved and Phinehas’ zeal (Numbers 25:13) is replaced with the open hearted generosity of Abraham (Genesis 18, Romans 4:3), no one will need to rid the holy land of anyone else.
The serpents who thought they held the keys to heaven and thus cursed humanity with the fruit of their knowledge of good and evil are losing their power. The pews of their megachurches will soon be empty. And when Lucifer fully repents in every self-righteous puritan he has possessed, then the age of striving and grasping will give way to the age of restful feasting.
The feast is ready but who will receive the invitation? The first to enter will be those with no stake in keeping the world as it is (Matthew 21:31): the homeless, the queers, the punks, the goths, the disabled, the single moms, the immigrants, the maimed Palestinian children.
The serpents will fight ruthlessly from their pulpits to keep their congregations under their spells. But when the lambs start dancing in the streets, the tongues of fire will spread their anointing. And eventually every Lucifer will release his sphincter and hell will let go.
This is the hour of the lamb. This is the season when the Christians will finally stop crucifying Jesus.
Glory to the long-suffering mother, the burning bush whose wildness Pentecost every tower to heaven.
Glory to the divine daughters of the new Jerusalem who are liberating Zion from the sons of Sodom so the city of war may finally be replaced by the city of peace.
Glory to the lamb who will reign through every lamb her spirit has anointed to prophesy.
